WILBERT DE JOODE
recent poetry/voice work with bassist WILBERT de JOODE
Wilbert and I have known each other a number of years and worked together in a musician / dancer combination, showing pieces in Italy, Belgium and Holland.
Over the last few years we've begun to make material in a musician/poet combination.
Firstly making a live version of my poem 'Bass Homage' in Amsterdam's OT301 and then taking time to record in July 2011and January of this year
Here are a couple of the numerous tracks produced during these rich sessions.
Both music and text are improvised.
"........ I bought a lullaby for Dan once brought it from behind the lime trees wrapped it in crispy paper and solid string and said 'here you go Dan, here you go m'man, here's a lullaby for you' he said ' you're sweet, by I don't need it' "
